Plum

 

Plum preserve

To 1 kg plum need 8 dkg sugar,2 dl water,a little lemon juice.

Wash and peel the fruits and put in bottles.Boil the sugar and water,flavour with lemon juice and if it ready pour on the plums.Throw on every bottles a pinch preservative.Close and steam to 10 minutes.Let to cool in the water.


Picant plum

To 3 kg plum need to:1.5 kg sugar,7.5 dl water,7.5 dl wine vinegar,a little cinnamon and cloves,4 pinch preservative.

Boil the water,vinegar,spices,pick off the foam.Let to cool,then pour on the putting in bottles plums.Pour off the juice in 3 days,boil once more the juice,and pour back onto the fruits.Throw on a little preservative.Keep it under cover to 3 days,then close.Flavour of the juice has to be picantly to sweet-sour.


Rum plum assertively

Wash the plums,take out the seeds.To 3 kg fruit need 1 kg sugar,1 coffeespoonful preservative,5 dl rum.Mix heartily this ingredients,then let to stand to a day.Day after fill in bottles and pour 1 spoonful rum in every bottles,close and store at dry,cool place.


Plum jam

Wash the fruits,take out the seeds,boil to mellow.Breake over a sieve and add 40 dkg sugar to every kilogram plums,mix it and boil to thick.Fill in bottles and when it cool,close.


Plum drying

Not available for drying the summer kinds.May drying well the autumn kind plums.These content much sugar and thicker then summer kinds.Better the result if we choose artifficial drying.Start the opereting at 40-50 c degrres and increase the temperature per hour.The plums need turn over more times.The drying ready if press the fruit and don't come out juice.Put the plums in boxes.


Plum chilling

Mellow and heavy plums fine to chillingWash and take out the seeds,but no cut on half.Add a little sugar to and put in boxes hermetically close it and freeze.
